Our Story

Hi, I'm Tina, founder of The Petite Haus Co. The idea for this boutique didn't begin with a business plan-it began during a shopping trip with my daughter and husband. Some time ago, we were shopping at Fashion Valley in San Diego, one of my favorite malls, filled with everything from affordable to luxury brands. My daughter was searching for trendy pieces, and as we walked from store to store, I found myself running into the same frustration I've experienced for years. At 5'1", I love fashion just as much as she does. I enjoy wearing modern, on-trend styles, but finding pieces that actually fit my frame has always been a challenge. Pants are almost always too long, dresses don't hit where they're meant to, and jumpsuits or rompers often aren't proportioned for someone my height. When I do find something I love, it's usually because I've ordered it online in a petite size and it's almost always a 'basic' find. If petite sizing isn't available, I'm often left choosing between hemming it, settling for a fit that's a little too long, or wearing higher heels or wedges just to make the proportions work. While I love dressing up, I don't always want to have to wear heels simply because my clothes weren't designed with a petite frame in mind. As we walked through the mall, I remember thinking, "There are so many beautiful stores here, but where's the store for women like me?" That's when the idea hit me.

What if there was a boutique dedicated to women 5'4" and under—not filled with basic petite clothing, but with the same stylish, trend-forward pieces everyone else is wearing?

I also realized that many women who are 5'3" or 5'4" may not even consider themselves "petite," yet they experience many of the same fit challenges. They deserve a place where shopping feels effortless and style doesn't have to be compromised because of height.

That's how The Petite Haus Co. was born.
